Chiropractic adjustment is specifically intended to correct vertebral subluxations. Spinal manipulation has documented use as far back as Hippocrates and the ancient Egyptians. The intention of a chiropractic adjustment is to affect or correct the alignment, motion and/or function of a vertebral joint, which in turn increase range of motion and decrease restrictions in movement. We want the body to be in proper alignment to help with proper biomechanics that help prevent injuries.
The Athlete Stop’s dietitians provide nutrition counseling and nutrition assessments to help determine an athlete’s specific nutrition needs based on body type, sport, metabolic rate, and short- and long-term performance goals. We also provide nutrition counseling for individuals interested in other aspects of nutrition such as weight management, diabetes management, cardiovascular health, nutrition for pre- and post pregnancy, and adolescent nutrition.
